Sausage and pasta pot by Penny

Ingredients (for four)


8 sausages

2 onions

3 cloves garlic

6 chopped carrots

6 chopped mushrooms

5 handfuls pasta

1 tomato passata

4 chopped rashers of smoked bacon

Dessert spoon tomato puree

1 yellow pepper (or any other colour)

Splash of tabasco sauce

Teaspoon mixed herbs

Ground pepper and salt

Half pint water




Fry the onions, chopped garlic and sausages divided in half until brown. Add the chopped vegetables, and the remaining ingredients other than the pasta. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Add the pasta and simmer for another 10 minutes or until cooked.


Serve with a green salad.
