West Mull, Coll and Tiree

Dramatic has got to be the adjective for the west coast of Mull with the nearby islands of Staffa, Iona, Ulva, Gometra and the Treshnish with Coll and Tiree a bit further away. Volcanic is another adjective that comes to mind, hence the strange but amazingly recognisable shapes such as Staffa and the Dutchman's cap. As ever there is a range of anchorages from the completely safe such as Ulva ferry to the somewhat dodgy such as Lunga to the don't stay there long at Staffa. Out here your are more exposed, but as ever there are always snug anchorages to run to.
