This anchorage is not in the Sailing Directions but it was a favourite of Captain Harvey's in the 1930s. He remarked that the stones on the beach were "excellent for ballast for the luggers" (Sailing Orders. Captain J R Harvey, Alexander Maclehose, London, 1935). It is a small bay surrounded by cliffs and hills on the east side of Loch Indaal, half a mile east of Laggan Point, south of Bowmore. I have not been there but the good Captain thought it was good for picnics. Clearly it is very open to the southwest.
